YOUR GIFT IS THEIR FUTURE
When you include the Midland YMCA in your future plans, you ensure the long term prosperity of our organization. Your gift allows the YMCA to continue to provide services for those who need it most, long past your lifetime. While we all may not know what the future holds, as an organization we are committed to meeting those challenges head on.
- Let’s make sure that every child in our community who wants to attend summer camp always has the ability to do so regardless of circumstance. Your gift to the YMCA will allow us to do that.
- Whether it’s the new Northwest YMCA, or the Downtown branch that’s been around for decades, we recognize that capital improvements will always arise. Your gift to the YMCA will make sure we can always meet those needs.
- Through Active Older Adult programs, Youth Sports, Aquatic programs, and other healthy living initiatives, we’re dedicated to supporting the long-term health of our community. Your gift means you’ve joined us in that commitment.
WAYS TO GIVE
OUTRIGHT GIFTS of cash, property, appreciated security or other marketable assets.
WILL BEQUESTS: A gift in your will or living trust lets you make a meaningful gift with ease and be flexible in your commitment. You can give cash, specific property, a percentage of your estate, with or without restrictions.
CHARITABLE TRUSTS would provide your beneficiary a fixed dollar amount each year after your life or for up to 20 years from assets placed in the trust. At the end of the term, the balance goes to the YMCA, enabling countless other members to benefit from your generosity.
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS: Name the Family YMCA as owner, or primary or contingency beneficiary of a new or existing insurance policy, your qualified IRA, pension plan, or bank account.
GIFTS OF APPRECIATED PROPERTY: With thoughtful planning, gifts of appreciated assets—such as real estate, publicly traded securities, or mineral rights—can provide meaningful benefits for both the donor and the Family YMCA. These contributions may enhance the long-term value of a retained life estate and support ongoing income strategies for you and your family. In addition to traditional assets, appreciated property may also include mineral interests, including but not limited to those located in the Permian Basin or other producing regions. Such gifts represent a powerful opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the mission of the Family Y while potentially realizing favorable tax advantages.
THE BENEFITS OF PLANNED GIVING
- Your gift costs you nothing now. You can continue to enjoy and use your assets until you no longer need them.
- You can balance your financial management and philanthropic needs and desires
- You can save on possible federal taxes
